Parking lot risks
How many times have you done something without thinking it through? One hundred times? One thousand times? More than that? We’re in such a hurry these days that we tend to run into the store to grab a few groceries and then hurry home. We often don’t think things through well enough. The only problem with that is we tend to make mistakes that frustrate us and ruin our day.
As an example, would you park beside this vehicle? If you take a look at their front wheels you’ll notice they are fully turned. If the driver backs out of their spot without thinking, they won’t straighten their front wheels out first and therefore drift into the parking space beside them. What if you were parked beside them? How much damage would happen to your vehicle if they hit you? Enough damage to get your vehicle fixed and enough damage to ruin your day.
Take the time to look for a safe place to park. Avoid parking beside a vehicle with turned front wheels or if the vehicle is parked on an angle. Avoid parking across from another aisle or entrance as that’s where traffic tends to accumulate. And finally, avoid parking at the end of a row. This can cause your vehicle to be clipped by someone else as they cut the corner while they turn the corner.
Think like a driver at all times when you’re in the vehicle; this includes while in a parking lot. It can reduce vehicle damage and unnecessary stress.
Firstly park in a parking space, never a fire lane, theya re reserved for emrgency vehicles in an emergency situation like a fire, a heart attack, a slip on the ice. Vehicles impeding safety professionals will and should be charged heavily for endangering people’s lives. I often get yelleed at by telling people to move, but I actually care more about your life than they do. I want the Fire truck to get there without a woman packing groceries in her wagon in the way.
