Every other person owns a car now, but did you know what your car needs to function normally? Just like anything else, if our cars are not maintained, then they will encounter problems which will affect their performance and durability. Here are some maintenance tips that can extend your car’s life.

  1. Change Your Oil

Changing the oil of your car is not a question, it must be done. Oil’s job is to lubricate and cool the parts inside your car’s engine, and if there is no regular oil and filter change, it will lead to metal-eating sludge. Your car’s efficiency will go down, and eventual your engine will fail.

  1. Keep Your Car Clean

Of course, you have to keep your car clean, just like anything else, it can get dirty, and rust will form over time. Some cars may have scratches on them, which not only reduce the beauty of the vehicle but it is also bad for the surface of the car. We recommend using a Random Orbital Polisher that will remove any contaminants and defects on the car along with the swirl marks, scratches and other defects. Check this out for more information. It is not only the outside that needs cleanliness but the insides as well. Keeping your car clean will keep it in good shape and will retain higher resale value. Wash your car. Especially in winters, so the road salt does not cause rust which can cause holes in the metal.

  1. Filter Change

Filters’ job is to stop debris from accumulating your engine. Air filters clean out the dust and dirt, and fuel and oil filters will trap any abrasive residue. You should be aware of when your filters need to be replaced because there is no set schedule. Whenever you get your oil changed, change your filters too. Change of air filter depends on the environment that you drive your car in.

  1. Park Your Vehicle In The Garage

Keep your car in the shade or in a garage. If your garage doesn’t have enough space, make some. When you keep your car inside your garage, it will be protected from the elements like flora and fauna, which can damage your car’s paint. Your car will not be covered in snow, or its paint will not be damaged by the sunlight.

  1. Repair Your Car

As soon as there are any issues that need repair, you should take your car to a mechanic. It does not do well to sleep on such kind of issues. Putting off repairs will cause further damage to your vehicle, not to mention it will cost you more as well. For example, if your car’s water pump is failing, it can result in overheating and engine damage. Squealing brakes will reduce your braking power. Whenever you hear your vehicle making a strange noise, get it checked instead of ignoring it.

Following these tips will extend your car’s life! Good luck!
